Direct hire or staff-leasing: choose the right model
Model A (Placement Agency) is DriversHub's current operational service. Model D (ETT staff-leasing) is available subject to obtaining the ETT licence under Spanish Act 14/1994.
Model A
Placement Agency — direct hire
DriversHub selects and presents verified candidates. Once you choose a driver, your company hires them directly as your own employee. DriversHub manages the full documentation process: TIE/NIE, SEPE work authorisation (where applicable), DGT licence exchange, CAP, and Social Security registration.
- Single placement fee payable on signing the placement contract
- No monthly retainers or ongoing management fees
- The driver is your direct employee
- Payroll, Social Security, and collective agreement: your company's responsibility
- DriversHub follow-up during the first 30 days of employment
Ideal for operators who want to expand their own headcount without taking on the burden of international recruitment and documentation.
Model D
ETT staff-leasing — driver outsourcing
Under Model D the ETT acts as the formal employer and seconds the driver to the client company under a staff-provision contract (Spanish Act 14/1994). Your company pays a monthly fee covering salary, Social Security contributions, and ongoing document management.
- The driver is employed by the ETT, not your company
- The ETT manages payroll, Social Security, sick leave, and replacements
- Monthly fee: predictable fixed cost
- Replacement guarantee: new profile proposed within 48–72 hours of permanent departure
- Requires ETT licence under Spanish Act 14/1994

Initial briefing — candidate proposal in 24–48 hours
Contact us via WhatsApp or the enquiry form. Tell us the vehicle type (CE/C), cargo, typical routes into or within Spain, and your target start date. No payment details, no bureaucracy. With that information DriversHub checks the active pool and sends a dossier with 2–3 pre-validated profiles.
No charge at this stage. The candidate proposal is free and creates no obligation to hire or pay any fee.
Selection and service contract
Review profiles, hold a technical interview (video call with interpreter if needed), and select your candidate. Once confirmed, the placement contract is signed and DriversHub's placement fee is payable. From this point document processing begins in parallel.
Timeline: Your company has up to 7 days to decide on the proposed profiles. Interviews are organised within 24–48 hours of request.
Document processing and operational start
DriversHub runs TIE/NIE, SEPE work authorisation (where applicable), DGT licence exchange, CAP, and Social Security registration simultaneously to minimise elapsed time. For Ukrainian drivers, Temporary Protection eliminates the SEPE step: the driver can operate on the DGT provisional receipt within the first two weeks. For MD/KZ drivers, DriversHub provides the exact timeline before contract signing.
| Nationality | Total timeline (Model A) | Key factor |
|---|---|---|
| Ukraine (UA) | 2–3 weeks | Temporary Protection active, no SEPE wait |
| Moldova (MD) | 3–4 months | DGT bilateral agreement, standard SEPE processing |
| Kazakhstan (KZ) | 7–9 months | No DGT bilateral; equivalency exchange + full SEPE |

Frequently asked questions
Does DriversHub operate as a Placement Agency or as an ETT staffing agency?
DriversHub operates as a Placement Agency (Agencia de Colocación, Model A) — we manage the full selection and documentation process so that the driver becomes a direct employee of your company. Model D (staff-leasing ETT, where a Temporary Employment Agency acts as the formal employer) is available subject to obtaining the ETT licence under Spanish Act 14/1994. For staff-leasing requirements, contact us: we will update you on the current status and the alternatives available for your situation.
How quickly can a Ukrainian driver from the pool join our Spain operations?
Ukrainian drivers in the pool hold immediate Spain work authorisation via Temporary Protection (Royal Decree-Law 6/2022, valid until March 2027). The typical timeline from candidate proposal to operational start is 2–3 weeks: 1–2 weeks for basic document processing (TIE/NIE + DGT provisional receipt + Social Security registration). There is no SEPE work-permit wait, which removes the main bottleneck found with other non-EU nationalities.
What documentation does DriversHub verify before proposing a candidate?
The minimum verified dossier includes: valid CE licence (category and expiry date), current CAP certificate (or confirmed enrolment in an accredited training centre), employment history with at least 2 previous employers covering vehicle type and cargo, DGT licence exchange status (if already initiated — provisional receipt or pending), and work authorisation status (type, validity, next renewal). For KZ/MD/BY/UZ drivers with authorisation in progress, DriversHub discloses the realistic timeline before proposing the profile.
What does the service cost?
Model A (direct hire) operates on a single placement fee payable when the placement contract is signed, calculated as a percentage of the agreed annual gross salary. No monthly retainers, no hidden costs. The initial proposal of 2–3 profiles carries no obligation to hire and no charge. Request a quote via WhatsApp or our contact form.
